Simon Sinek on Millennials in the Workplace

By |2016-12-06T10:34:42-08:00December 5th, 2016|Leadership, Youth Ministry Resources, Youth Pastor Life|10 Comments

One of my favorite writers and thinkers is Simon Sinek. I think I have read almost everything he has put out. There also has been a lot of talks about millennials and what do do with them. I think Sinek has some great insight into this generation and I think taking 15 minutes to watch this could help us reach and understand this generation instead of complaining about them.

Some veteran DYM authors just released a new message Vote For Jesus that might be exactly what you’re thinking for in this rabid election season. Here’s a clip from the description:

We make dozens, if not hundreds, of choices each and every day. We “vote” on everything from, “where to go to lunch” and “what to do on Friday night” to “who should be homecoming king/queen.” And yet, each of us is also faced with a much bigger and more important election in our own lives that has both earthly and eternal implications. Your candidates are “the world” or Jesus. Do you know where each candidate stands on all the issues? Who can you trust the most? Are you willing to campaign for the candidate of your choice? Are you even going to show up to vote? Ultimately the choice is yours. It’s a huge decision, one that shouldn’t be taken lightly and one that requires a thorough investigation. So, who are you going to vote for?

Be sure to check it out right here!

We all make mistakes. That means we all need to apologize at some point. But some people really suck at apologizing. They’ll say a lot without actually saying anything, they’ll fumble and stumble and have everyone wonder what they’re trying to communicate or they’ll joke around and treat it like a big joke.
