As you may have heard, in addition to our West Coast Student Leadership Conference at APU on July 6-8, 2012, we are also planning an East Coast Student Leader Conference July 11-13, 2012. And, this year we’re partnering with Youth Specialties (which I’m very excited about).

The dates are set, but the location is not.

Here is what we know, we are heading to the East Coast in 3.5 weeks (Oct 21-23rd) for a “scouting trip”. We would like to land somewhere between North Virginia and New York City. We have a few locations in mind, but if you know of a place you think we should check out, let us know. If you have a personal connection there–those contacts would be apprecaited.

Here is what we are looking for:

1. A location that is available July 11-13.
2. A location that can hold at least 600 HS students and has room for some break-out sessions.
3. A location willing to partner with us and offer us space at the reasonable rate of FREE (or very close).
3. A location that is fairly easy to get to, and preferably desirable to go to.

Maybe you can’t help us with the location, but you have other resources you would like to offer–let us know that too. Since this will be the first year we have done SLC on the East Coast we are building our team, finding our partners, and most importantly asking youth workers to help us get the word out.

We had a great time last year on the west coast and the number 1 question we got asked was, “Why won’t you come out east?” Now we are, and we need some help.

Stay tuned for the East Coast SLC location announcement. For more information or for very early-bird registration prices, visit us at www.dougfields.com/SLC2012 and like us on Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/slc2011
