set apart, set within

We are citizens of a different Kingdom, but we are also ambassadors. We are separated but not isolated.

TRUE: we are no longer of this world, but we can not forget that we are still in this world.

We can’t “love God” so much that we fall out of touch with the people–often hurting–who are alongside the roads we walk.

TRUE: our eyes ought to be fixed on Jesus, but we cannot forget to notice what’s happening around us.

There are opportunities in our fallen world: lessons to learn, tools to use, and ears that are ready to listen. It is easy to miss these things.

It is not enough to have an agenda, to know the Good News and want to share it. We must also be looking, eyes wide open, to learn everything we can and use every tool possible so that we might be more effective.
