6 Podcasts I Constantly Listen To

I have been on a podcast kick lately. I have been in a season where instead of listening to music when I get into the car, I’m finding myself listening to podcasts. I have been loving it. When my wife gets in the car, she would prefer country music (barf) but she lets me continue to listen (it has sparked some great conversations actually). I wanted to share what podcasts have been speaking life into me and hopefully you would be able to get something out of it as well.

If you would be willing, share what you listen to in the comments below and share the wealth with others!

Here are the podcasts I listen to on a regular basis (no particular order):

DYM webshow: I know what you are thinking, “Of course you would plug it.” Maybe. But what I do know is that the people at the table are some of the greatest leaders and ministry minded people I have had the priveledge to work with. The show has moments where they get off topic (mostly because of Josh) but you laugh and get some amazing youth ministry insight. I make it a point to listen to it every week sitting in my office at some point. Lot’s of youth ministry gold here.

Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast: This one is just a few weeks old but I already love it. I am constantly challenged whenever I hear him speak and now that he has something monthly recorded, it has been awesome. I particularly love his own personal things to be a healthy leader and challenges me to try to be a better leader personally because I know it’s better for the ministries in which I oversee. I recommend.

Perry Noble Leadership Podcast: I have been listening to Perry Noble since 2009. I think I would say I have a pastor crush. I like him and love listening to him because he is a pretty bold guy. I think the way he thinks about church, ministry and leadership is unique and for some reason I am drawn to it. Plus, he is a huge fan of youth ministry and it shows in the way he talks about it and pushes for it.

Carrie Neiuwof leadership Podcast: Carrie came out of no where for me. I first heard him last year when I went to the Orange Conference (which we will be at this year). I like his podcast because he does a great job of getting a whole range of different people on there to talk leadership. From church leaders, to business leaders, social media, student ministry, he literally covers a lot of ground and I appreciate the variety. Plus, I think his blog is spot on most of the time. I would for sure check him out.

YM Answers – I love Kenny and Elle Campbell. They are the real deal. They are super creative, they know what they are talking about, and their podcast is top notch. Not only have they had me on there but the people who they bring on are ones that give great insight and challenge youth pastors in many areas. Plus, Kenny and Elle are a fun hang.

Youth Ministry SideKick – I love Tom Pounder and his heart for student ministry and social media and technology. He also brings a great variety in the podcasts and I know I learn something new every time I listen. Be sure to check him out and love it!

These are just a few of the podcasts I am constantly listening to on weekly basis. Maybe you have heard of them, maybe you have a new you you just discovered today! I would love to hear which ones you listen to and share them below! Let’s learn together.
