// EP 318: //
• Building bridges with other churches in your area
• Bringing on new team members
• Church members/attendees following you to a new church
• Starting a new program to serve the church
For the first question- unifying churches in community: our community has really come together. We have a list of churches (the senior pastor’s meet 1x a month) and all of the churches who participate commit to praying for another church each Sunday. So each Sunday, all the churches involved are praying for the same church. Something that has come out of this is a community worship service- on the 5th Sundays there is a Sunday night worship, held at various churches, one pastor preaches, one band leads, one person leads communion- all from different churches. It has been cool to experience different traditions, and to take the youth to this to show them some more variety in worship and liturgy. It has been great, and hasn’t been competitive at all- it is all about building the kingdom. Our theme for this has been- other churches are not our competition- they are our partners in sharing God’s love to this community.
