Wednesday Teaching Series: The Christmas Story (week 3 of 3)
Sermon in a Sentence: Jesus came to earth for humanity but he also came down for YOU. Yes, you personally.
Service Length: 70 minutes
Understandable Message: I didn’t teach this night. Chris Avery on our team taught our high school students and Emma Aungst on our team taught in junior high. The message in a nutshell was that the almost the whole world, celebrates and knows what Christmas is: Jesus was born for all people. But it goes beyond that, Jesus came down to earth for YOU! Yes us, but for YOU personally and we need to respond to that.
Element of Fun/Positive Environment: We had a few fun elements. We played a huge game of 4 corners using the new “Rouge One: 4 Corners” from DYM. Narrowed the room down to one kid and gave them a gift card to Target. We played a fun Christmas Mad Libs video (click HERE to check it out) and after service, the girls in our group had a pizza party because they won the Boys vs Girls Toy Drive we had.

Favorite Moment: We had a student accepted Jesus. There is nothing better than that!
Up next: Star Wars movie. Because of Christmas services we got bumped from our usual meeting spot so they can set up for services, so we bought a bunch of tickets for the new Star Wars movie and are going to hang out with our students there. Should be so fun! Then we don’t have service for two weeks! It’s a nice breath of fresh air for everyone and we will pick back up January 11th.
