John Mitchem writes in to the Don’t Believe blog this week with a question/thought:

I hope this email did not disturb your hard work on the podcast or the important afternoon nap, but I was thinking with you Being the “Vacation Expert” that you are, why do you not blog about some must see things to do In Anaheim and rides that are must do at Disneyland with some of us visiting for DCLA for the first time in about a week. Just a thought.

Do you feel like you have traveled all the way to Southern California and now you are ready to party but you don’t know where to go? I woke up from my afternoon nap for just long enough to copy/paste this info on my favorite places and Southern Orange County attractions.

DOWNTOWN DISNEY
Downtown Disney is 20-acres full of entertainment, dining, and shopping in a park-like setting with architecture designed to reflect the richness and diversity of California’s history and culture. If you don’t have time for Disneyland, but want to get a taste of what is new in Mickey Mouse’s house be sure to have some fun at the Downtown Disney. Eat at the ESPN Zone, listen to music at the House of Blues, or shop at the World of Disney.

IRVINE SPECTRUM
The Spectrum is an incredible open-air market style mall with movie theaters, IMAX, restaurants, stores and plenty to do. Wahoo’s Fish Tacos is a must while you’re here — don’t dismiss the fish! It is located in Irvine at the junction of the 5 and 405 Freeway.

LAGUNA
Laguna Beach is a great place to visit for sidewalk shopping and cafes. Laguna Beach is one of the premier art districts of southern California. A beautiful setting on the coast, you’ll love it; just like MTV.

I think you should also go here, here and here if you want a real guide, too.
