I love creating teaching series for our youth group! You can see where we’re going in November in the High School Ministry at Saddleback. We’re bringing in some apologetics speakers for a new series for students called True or False?. I think this one is going to be really solid these 3 weeks this November! Here’s the arc of where we’re hoping to take students over the course of the month:

Christianity: True or False?
Why are some Christians so caught up in what they believe? Aren’t appeals to orthodoxy just a way to say who’s “in” and who’s “out?” In this talk you’ll discover what are essential Christian beliefs and why they are essential. And you’ll find out why the essentials are a matter of life and death.

Jesus was God: True or False?
2,000 years ago when Jesus walked the earth he not only claimed to be able to lead people to God, but he claimed to be God in human flesh. This leaves us only three options: either Jesus was Lord as he claimed to be, or he was a liar, or he was a lunatic. Fulfilled prophecy offers further support to Jesus’ claim to be the unique Son of God.

One Way to Heaven: True or False?
Less than half of conservative Protestant teens and about a quarter of mainline Protestant teens believe Jesus is the only way. Christian adults don’t fare much better. We’ll examine common objections to the exclusivity of Christ’s claims and then build a careful case for Jesus as the only way to God.
