I admit it, I’m technically challenged. I began youth ministry back in the days of clip art, overhead projectors and reel-to-reel movies. Since then, I’ve been late to the game in everything that is technological (i.e. video, powerpoint, Facebook, blogging, etc., I still have an awesome cassette collection!) Anyway, here’s my idea: every once in a while I stumble across something “techy” and I think to myself, “I could do that!” So, when I think that…I’ll share it. I’m guessing there’s a percentage of folks like me (albeit small) that might benefit from stuff I stumble on that others discovered years ago. So, here’s #1 from xtranormal:
I hate giving announcements & that’s probably why I delegated this task to teenagers many years ago. I thought they might like to see what it’s like giving out important information when NO ONE listens. I know most youth groups struggle with this and that’s why I like this idea shared by Brit Windel (youth pastor in Oklahoma). Fun, easy to use, creative. Even I could do this.

This just proves my point of being technically challenged. I posted this in the middle of the night and it didn’t work. Now I’m racing to the airport to fly to NYC and don’t have time to figure out what went wrong. Oh well. go over to www.xtranormal.com and make a free video. Dang. I’m going back to overhead projectors. Oh yeah…and apparently I can’t do it.

[Josh here … took care of it for you, Doug. So glad you gave me access to fix your posts. Enjoy the video, everyone! Doug is technically challenged for sure.]
