I don’t know how you feel but as fall is about to hit I often realize I still have a lot to do. Not because of apathy, but just because there is always more that I would love to do. When that hits me, I can sometimes become frantic in trying to get things done and there have been times when I have been crippled with the amount of work I have to do.

I watched a video today which struck me today. It is Bill Hybels teaching on “The Work Habits of a Leader” – and as I watched the video I identified the principle which sometimes I have and sometimes I don’t. To focus on a few key tasks that I think will really move things forward. Often its easy to do “everything” and while it’s all good, its not all the best. But by choosing the best you push your ministry to places it has never been.

So this post may be short and sweet, but I hope that it gets you thinking. What are the few things that I can focus on this season that aren’t just good but they are great. What things does God want to use me to do, that will push my organization beyond where it has ever been?

Are you going to do more one-on-ones with students? Are you going to find resources for that area that needs them? Are you going to educate yourself on something that you need to learn more about? Are you going to ignore that sacred cow and push into the new element you have been inspired to drive forward?
