Ephesians 4:1 | what does it mean to be worthy of our calling?

As I see it, perfection is the goal for the spiritual life. Why? Jesus is our model, and, we’ll grow like crazy from the constant challenge, and, it keeps us humbly dependent on God. That we’ll never get there in this life isn’t a reason to aim for less. Settling for a percentage of perfection kills purity and boosts pride.
